We are now in peak Strawberry and Raspberry season so do drop in for a punnet or two as you pass by.

Mini Food Fayres

On Saturday 13th June ORB Bakery and Fen End Country Kitchen (both based in Over) came to Rosegate Farm to sell their delicious breads and preserves.  This was so successful that both companies decided to return the following Saturday.  Despite ORB Bakery arriving a little late due to an oven malfunction, they still managed to sell out in less than one and a half hours!  The tasters offered by Fen End Country Kitchen went down a treat.

Shearing time

The annual sheep shearing took place for the first time actually on the farm.  In previous years the sheep have been taken to another farm in Swavesey.

     

Haylage

Another big annual job took place in early June – making haylage (hay with higher moisture content and nutritional value) for the animals to eat in winter.
